I'm getting ready to order a new monitor (http://www.amazon.com …psc=1&smid=A28S4N50E4LJV9
)
I want to calibrate it to ensure my colors are accurate, but I was wondering if someone could clear up a few things?
1. I have a laptop. So would I need to calibrate my laptop screen and my new monitor screen? Or should I just calibrate my monitor screen and only use it for photo editing? Let's assume I did calibrate both my laptop and monitor screen. Will Spyder4Express do that? I know it says in the license that it can only be used with "one computer" but technically I am only using one computer, but two screens with that one computer.
2. What exactly is the Spyder device calibrating my monitor to? Just some set of standard specs for colors? Lets say I calibrate it with Spyder and then want to print something from MPix (or other printer). Do I need to do anything special to ensure my prints come out okay? Or if I were to give someone a thumbdrive of edited photos. Do they need to do anything prior to printing them to ensure colors are accurate?
