I've been to several places where animals are being kept in captivity recently -- Zoo's, faires, wildlife foundtaions, and shows. Tried to get up close with them -- mostly with my 400 5.6L. Here are some shots!

ent to the zoo with my 400 5.6L and tried to get some portrait shots of animals. How'd I do?

It does make me sad as well, but that second tiger (in chains) is an Orange Tabby Tiger. There are only about 30 in the world, and at one point there were only 3 left in existence.

That chained tiger does make a sad picture. You conveyed the mood well.

The bird shots have places where a dark part of the bird's anatomy is lost in a black background. If I'd been there, I would have tried to move around to get a lighter background for contrast. Maybe nothing was available.

PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa | Comments welcome
