last hoorah...

I used to be very active here a year or so ago but have been fighting hand tremors which has caused a basic lack of interest due to what I feel were not the best pictures. So I have finally decided to sell my gear and hang it up. Everything is gone as of last week but I do have a canon sx50 on the way just so we would have at least one camera around the house.

Anyway, thought I would share a few of my old pics just for old times sake. I didn't go thru a couple of thousand shots to try to pick the best but just grabbed some that were handy. Who knows, maybe I'll select a few more if anyone wants to see them.

Meanwhile, thanks to all of you who helped me learn in the past, to those that set the bar high to keep me trying and to those that had kind words for my shots.

Mike I know I never had the opportunity to enjoy your work as I can see from above I would have. I would appreciate you posting some of your favourite's for us to enjoy from time to time.

This is so sad to read, because it is so obvious that you have incredible talent. These photos are amazing. Miracles do happen, and positive thoughts are a must! Don't give up...OH and please do share more of your images!

Hello Mike, sorry to hear such bad news. I do remember the old days when you were quite active, always beautiful birds. The Red-head will always be a favorite of mine, just a fantastic shot that could grace any cover. Hope things get better for you.

So sorry to hear of your struggle Mike. Like so many here I have enjoyed and admired your work, you're a very gifted photographer. These images are proof of that and seeing more would be awesome. Very nice shots. Excellent quality of light. The tight shot of the mallard is a nice one. I bet not only do you have some nice pics to share, but some talented advice as well.

Those are beautiful shots. It's a shame for you to have to give up photography. Have a similar problem with my hands (inherited tremor), but it's controlled with medication. Perhaps you could find something to control the problem like I did. Don't give up hope.

All great shots, but the duck close up is absolutely fantastic.
