Don't get me started. With what we spend on kitty food, litter, vet bills, pet villas for the outside gang, heating pads, etc, I could have one seriously high end lens collection.

That is awesome. Not the cost, but the fact that you are doing it!

I have been feeding a feral cat on our farm for a couple of years now. Every morning he waits for me to bring his breakfast, and every morning he hisses at me! I tell him he has to ask nicely...and he always does. Once in a while he isn't there, and I miss him!

I fully believe in rescue pets & buying lightly used cars. :)

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

My name is Jason, and I endorse this statement.

Regarding used cars; own a car long enough and it'll pay for it's "carbon footprint". Come January, I'll celebrate my 12th year of owning my Hyundai Elantra GT.

I turned in my 2001 Honda sports car with 150,000 miles only because my 3rd grandkid was coming & I didn't have room for him. I bought a 15 month old Honda CRV with 16,000 miles on it & I plan on driving it to 250,000 miles.

I'm finally in a position to keep a car for more than a few years. I previously worked 55 miles away and would put 35k or so miles per year on my cars. I was burning through cars at a ridiculous pace. Now I work 2 miles away and share a ride with Wifey 3 days a week. I love it. No more keeping track of gas prices or worrying about tires and oil changes or having major maintenance issues not covered by a warranty. Plus this time I was able to buy a newer used car. It feels practically brand new. Very nice.
