Yeah, I mean, whatever he does with his LS in the privacy of his own home is nobody's business but his, if you know what I mean.

Keeping production up must hurt.

That kinda explains all the shipping delays and occasional double/triple orders...

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

LOL AGAIN! :)

You have got to take a picture of you with all that gear. I'm going to have to do that too when I get my bracket this week. Add on that umbrella helmet reflector from the other thread and we've got something!

Hmm I don't have the Lightspooge anymore but I can take a snapshot of me with everything else. I sorta look like Rambo. Minus the tan, muscles, hair, and slur. Oh yeah and minus the money too.

OK, don't care how good the light is, nobody is going to get me wearing one of those, ever.

Unless it came with a couple of beer can holders on the side. :)

My POTN Gallery, Complete gear list,
Tradition - Just because you've always done it that way doesn't mean it's not incredibly stupid.

I'd wear it if it came with a couple 1 series bodies at no extra charge!

I'll make one...with the suggested can holder(s). It sure looks stupid, but it's a great way to get natural smiles and great lighting at the same time. :)

I think the LightSphere product(s) are a joke! Only Gary is laughing his way to the bank!

There's what, 3 versions of it now? What was wrong with the previous ones? He went from a frosted to a clear. If it's clear, then why use it? Can anyone actually "SEE" the difference between the versions? Honestly, NO!

P.T. Barnum! "There's a sucker born every minute!"

And they will continue to buy LightSpheres and "protection" filters and gear from Brooklyn.

I'm curious why Fong's LS seems to generate such emotion. I've gotten great results shooting into a ceiling corner, like cdi-ink (he's a better photographer, though  , I've gotten good results with my card and rubber band, too. I just got an LS-II, courtesy of MDJAK, and I love it! Sometimes there's not a ceiling corner to use, and frankly, I find it pretty easy to see that the lighting is just a bit softer, a little rounder, than with my bounce card. I think it's a good product. I bet the Stoffen and Lumiquest products are good, too.

How come Fong's products generate so much heat? Seems to be more than for the other products. Just curious.

John

It's the name. Fong. It sounds like "William Hong". He can't sing for anything, but you just can't stop saying his name. :)

Actually, I like my Lightsphere. It works for me. I don't complain, but I have a hard time convincing my husband it's a real diffuser. He thinks I'm making this stuff up.

"thank you very much" LOL

yeah, the biggest point is, anything is better than direct flash. we need people to point this out to newbies, i needed to hear it. i don't need to hear and i'm sure other newbies don't need to hear is how stupid they were and gullable for buying a LS or LSPJ. i bought the LSPJ and like it too! i also have an 80/20 and i've used bounce flash.
