These were taken in my back garden in the suburbs so were a good 7/10 on the light pollution scale.
My first real attempt at any astrophotography.
I used my 5D mk III, a Sigma 24mm f1.8 and just rested the camera on the table.
I am quite pleased with them but feel they can always be better! Does having less pollution make for more stars that easily and does it make them alltogether more contrasty?
16 light frames, 3 dark, stacked in DSS (x2 drizzle) and then stitched in PS CS6 and treated in PS CS6. Settings were 24mm, 25s, ISO 12500.
One is a 4 stitch image and the other (pinky/purple one) a 6.
If anyone could suggest improvements to my shots that would be great.
