I believe DR is a grey-market importer, so warranty and such are probably invalid.

Probably grey market.

Although last time I bought a lens from DRev I got an EU warranty form with it.

This just means that you won't be able to use that 1 year of free warranty service should your lens suffer from a manufacturer defect. After the 1 year period, there is zero advantage of having a "UK" lens vs a "grey market" lens because you have to pay for repairs regardless, and Canon will not refuse to service a lens that is grey market as some would have you believe. All that is needed is your receipt and the money.
