I purchased a refurbished Canon 100-400L on March 31st when they offered only a 90 day warranty instead of the 1 year they now offer . Sure enough it started acting up last Friday (well after the warranty period) and it finally gave up the ghost on Sunday. I sent it in to the Canon repair center in NJ yesterday and just received a Email from them saying they will repair it under warranty for free. I was fully prepared to have to pay for it. Just wanted to say it's nice when a company goes above what is expected.
