Hi from OZ, new member here.

Wondering if these chinese timer remotes actually work to allow bulb setting for shooting night skies.

So is there a way to do a bulb exposure with the G15?
I've got a Vello remote that you just switch cables with for different cameras. Much better than the Canon dedicated remotes.
