How much slower are these sony's going to be in low light or for moving objects than say a 5D3?
In very low light, people say they tend to hunt, whether it's the A7 or A7r, but in good light the A7 is a tad faster.
If you get the LA-EA4, you can use Sony Alpha and Minolta lenses as fast as they would be on an A99, very fast whether it's the A7 or A7r.
Also, will this Sony have the equivalent of sRaw or mRaw? I wouldn't always want files that large.
Nope, just like the D800E, you shoot full resolution all the time. mRaw and sRaw are a feature unique to Canon cameras as far as I know. You oughtta get a 32gb card, I know I will.

Yeah, Sony is a little clueless when it comes to fast glass, ESPECIALLY primes. Not sure if there is a problem with it because of the mirrorless aspect (distance of mount to sensor) or what. Fuji gets it when it comes to understanding fast glass. Sony has always done confusing things even more so than the innovation

I've already written this elsewhere, but I guess I'll say it again, Sony is releasing two compact cameras with resolution figures of 24 and 36mp. This means a number of things:
1. Lenses have to be compact to compete with other compact cameras in terms of size.
2. Lenses have to be able to deliver the required resolution, this is the first camera system where there are no models with less than 20mp.
3. Lenses need to cover all the bases before exotic glass can be made.
Sony could have made f/1.4 primes to start, but they would be too big and heavy to sell this camera as a compact, and wouldn't deliver on sharpness either. The early reports are that the 35 & 55mm primes are easily going to deliver in terms of resolution.
This is a new system and Sony first needs to make showcase lenses that emphasize small size and sharpness, then the typical 24-70/70-200 zooms, then a macro, and then fast primes, and then the exotic stuff.
If you can't wait 3-4 years to get what you want in native FE mount, then Sony has a product for you and it's called the LA-EA4, it lets you put fast Alpha lenses on this camera like the 135/1.8, 85/1.4, and 35/1.4
As far as I know, only Sony has a 135/1.8 and the 135STF, they totally own that focal length.

I am quite sure, the way they listened and brought out a camera people actually want, they will bring out lenses to match
The only samples I have seen look pretty agressively NR'ed to be honest but JPG settings change all that. Be nice to see a RAW file.
The only converter that supports Raw files so far is Iridient Developer, which almost no one has since it's not well-known and Mac only. But I did try out the demo and A7r files look very detailed indeed. I'll reserve final judgement until Capture One officially supports this camera.
Goes without saying! ughh KZ: Shadowfall and Resogun are going to kill my productivity.
