howie1 Hatchling 6 posts Joined Dec 2010 More info | Oct 31, 2013 14:14 | #1 I have a problem with my g 12. when I turn it on the screen is black , no image.when I turn it off and on a few times the image appears. when I take an image its white, again after a few more shots I get a correct image. but then a few images have faint lines on them. I think it might be the sensor. has any body had the same problems? H

From my experience at somewhere above 20K in pictures I have had two sensors go on me. Mine just started taking pics with horizontal lines in them and progressively got worse. Called Canon and they will charge about $180 to replace. You can make a little noise about it and they will reduce it by about 15%.
