3 generations of seperation

I thought black and white would be appropriate for this shot. I also tried to focus attention on the connection between the great grandson/great grandfather. Thoughts and comments are welcome.

Thanks, I've already cloned out a light fixture and wall edge plus some sort of pillow behind me...I don't know why I didn't think to remove the picture frame as well.

Thanks and yes, I did add a very light 'glow' around the text to help seperate it from the dark background...too obvious? distracting?

I do find it a bit distracting, but that's just me. What about a slight shadow rather than the glow? Just a thought. Regardless, I love the moment.

I really like it. Fantastic expressions, and great tonal range.

That being said, I would clone out whatever is between us and his batman logo. Perhaps his right hand? If cloning is not an effective option, being that part of the logo is obscured, do you have another shot from that series that does not have that distraction there? If so, you could use that as a source to drop in a new - unobscured - logo.

Also, I think the photo stands very well on it's own. The text feels redundant. Let the story create itself - don't force it on the viewer.

Finally, I like the simplicity of the second version (with the wall picture cloned out), but the source of the clone lacks the same texture (seems blurrier) than the complementary area on the left of the image (the area behind the text). Consider using THAT as the source for the coverage to get rid of the picture.
