My wife got a ELPH 330 HS recently. It has Canon's latest 1/2.3" 12MP HS sensor. I'm noticing it is even better than the ELPH 100 we had prior. Less noise and crisper detail. You can even use it indoors without flash and get good detail.

This is ISO 800 from a pocket camera with a 10x lens!!

There's some smearing but it's better than I'd expect. I wonder how it would compare to the 110HS I have, it's the same sort of sensor but 16mp.

Yeah, it's still a 1/2.3" sensor. I'm not saying it competes with my APS-C cams, but it's better than I'd expect for an ELPH. I looked at some of my LX5 images and they arent this good at 1600 (of course the lens is a stop+ faster, though)

I love my ELPH 300HS. I'm still amazed at the available light pictures I can get when I jack up the ISO and love the wide angle shots.
