I prefer this style of crop. It draws you into the subject. Having negative space on three sides of a headshot gives it a bobblehead / decapitated look IMHO. Beautiful portrait, well done.

I know you can't win, but IMHO either crop more or crop less. This particular crop is sort of in-between and does not work. Great lighting, nice pose, beautiful young lady!

Great image! Would you mind sharing the lighting setup on this? Is the key light directly above the camera?

I don't mind the crop, I do it as well sometimes, I like that you cut a little of the hair on the right side as well, sorta balances it out.

My guess would be the key light (beauty dish) above and slightly right of camera with a reflector camera left below her. There's also a rim light behind the model's right side. I'm not sure if that is the same light that is hitting the backdrop and reflecting back.
