In Hawaii recently I shot some videos with my 60D in the "portrait" mode. After shooting a few, I realized that they would display sideways on my computer monitor. I shot the rest of my videos in landscape mode. Aside from turning my monitor on its side, is there any video player software that will rotate them during playback? I don't need to rotate them permanently, just during playback.

Canon 80D, 60D, Canon 10-22EFs, 15-85EFS IS, Sigma 100-400, Sigma 135/1.8ART, Sigma 30mm f/1.4DC, Canon 60mm EFs Macro, Rokinon 8mm fisheye, 550EX flash, Olympus TG6 underwater P&S
Postprocessing: DxOLabs 5, DxO Viewpoint 3, Paint Shop Pro 2021

Always shoot video in wide landscape mode. Always. Even on cellphones. Unless you're creatively looking for the effect for everything to be sideways lol.

And yeah I second the VLC idea, you can go to Window > Video Effects > Geometry > Rotate.

If you have it then use Adobe Premiere Pro.
It's part of the CS suite.

Think of it as bit like Photoshop for video.

I've rotated a vertical shot in Serif MoviePlus X5 when I inadvertently did a shot from a train window as we pulled out of the station, rotated then cropped to fit the horizontal format, some quick editing and it slips through unnoticed ;)
