As a Weekend warrior I shoot soccer with a 7D and a 70-200 f/2.8.
For other pictures I use my 50D with a 18-135 IS attached.

I have the opportunity to swap the 50D for a 1DIIn.

What are the benefits of the 1DIIn over the 7D and what are the drawbacks ?
Will I be using the 1DIIn more for shooting soccer or wil I stick to the 7D?

Thanks bobbyz,

I have a few occasions where I will shoot in the evening.
And I will shoot futsal in the future.
I want to keep swapping lenses between the bodies to the minimum, so I'll stick to my 50D and 7D.
Thanks for the info.

The major drawback of the IIN is the ISO limitation. Amazing daytime sports camera the AF system is stellar, but at night it is at its weakest. Hope this helps.

Thank you Firehouse,

It was one of the things I wanted to know. And now I do :)
None of my friends own a 1D so I did not have any reference other than Internet.

I agree with the others, about the 1D IIn…amazing camera, but high ISO limitations.

I used this camera for a couple of years shooting sports, and couldn't have been happier. It was heavier, and limited to 8MP sensor, but a great performing well built camera, with excellent IQ.

7D..is lighter, higher MP and of course, higher ISO capability.

Yet, I still wish I had the 1D IIn….it was one of my favorite Canon cameras. Would make a great backup.
