Another shot with the 5D and the 50mm f/1.2 L. This was from yesterday evening, overlooking Corpus Christi Bay.

Size, weight, build quality. IMO focus is plenty quick enough on the 5D4. It occasionally misses focus in low light, but generally it is accurate and I am still learning the whole 1.2! Part of me has already adjusted and accepted the fact that that a slight miss or movement result in pic that isn't sharp sharp, but equally when viewed at sensible size/distance it is still usable. When it all comes together it is plenty sharp enough for me at 1.2 (and I do have a healthy amount of OCD in me!). I thought the CA would bother me more, but with a combination of LR corrections, and focussing on the other benefits this lens brings, I seem to have chilled in this area too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Jon

Anyhoo, with this and the 24-70 I think I'm set for most things. The other glass I have will now be used for more specific projects or needs. Here are three of my favourite pics so far, all at 1.2 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It really is a great lens. And it's even better on mirrorless bodies. Canon EOS M6 Mark II - EOS R

I can see ML in my future, but after a fruitful 2018, (5D4 and the 50) it won't be any time soon! Not when I have multiple mirrorless bodies I can mount the EF 50L on. Not to mention the EF 50L + RF Adapter is smaller and lighter than the RF 50L. The RF is said to be a bit sharper, but the EF focuses very well on the EOS R. Very happy with it. The R has completely transformed this lens. It's been my favorite for years, and now it's just outstanding. Canon/Nikon/Fuji
