Ok, I have been looking though the first 50 pages and notice one consistent thing.
Many 50L shooters now have a A7xx camera now.

I don't want to start a new thread and have it turn into a brand arguement.

Please comment or PM me what the real-world reasons are you made the switch.
Thanks again.

I didn't make the switch - I added my first mirrorless camera because:
- it looked like it was finally worth the mental hurdle to figure out a new camera
- the sensor for slow moving Portraits looked perfect
- IBIS's promise was too much not to try with my 50L, 85L & 135L
- I wanted a Silent Shutter option for ceremonies

I couldn't be happier - it does what I wanted it to do - but it isn't a camera I use for 'tracking' anything

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

I really like this one. Beautiful treatment of the scene, most people would pass this by without a second thought.

Thanks, Jeff. I was on the fence (no pun intended) about posting it, but I liked how the shallow dof worked to add a bit of mystery. You gotta love f/1.2, even for landscapes!

Taken from my barn while waiting for the rain to let up. (It didn't.)
