I'm sure everyone is tired of seeing my Fall color shots from the Sierras, so here are a few of what Fall looked like during our trip to Russia. Most were taken along the Volga and Svir Rivers.

My only regret is that I had decided to travel 'light', and left my tripod at home. It's tough to get crisp shots hand holding the 200mm on an overcast day.

Nice shots Jon, especially #2 + #3. It is interesting to see some shots from a part of the world that we don't regularly see here.

Cheers, Helen

Wonderful collection! I agree with Helenica... it is nice to see autumn colors from other parts of the world.

Thanks for the comments. The trip was very interesting, our first to Russia. We were surprised at how many signs/billboards were in English. Even on the highway some of the 'STOP' signs now use the English word STOP and uses the English alphabet rather than the Russian word for stop written in the Russian alphabet. When I commented to one of our tour guides that the Russians seemed to be more like Americans than I had expected, she just laughed and said, "The world is a lot smaller now."
