Took a drive around the Pt Reyes National Seashore this weekend. As usual, there was plenty to see.

The rut is pretty much over, and this guy seemed to be all by himself. He's probably not senior enough yet to get the ladies

After watching a lot of birds(if you like raptors, this time of year is a great time to be out this way as they migrate down the coast), I was on my way out, and something caught my eye up on a ridge. Sure enough when I peeked through my 400, it was a coyote. I am renting a 500 for the upcoming 3 day weekend, but I sure wish I had it when I saw this. It was really cool just to see him though.

No way of saying for sure but the size of that elk has me thinking he could very well be the herd bull. One around here with that many points usually wins the ladies lottery in the fall.:lol:

Hard to tell. I haven't seen any males around the females in the last couple of times I have been up that way, they all seem to be hanging out in segregated groups.
