Simple question guys ...

Will the Phottix Strato 2 work as a remote trigger on my 5D3?

I've read it will on the 5D2 but haven't seen anywhere it will work on the 5D3.

I need it to activate a second camera behind a goal at football (soccer)

Thanks.

All okay, after much digging I've found out it is compatible with the 5D3. :)

Yep, but you already know that. I have 3 sets of these, under the Calumet brand name. Fantastic accessory for me.

Thanks.

I was looking to get a remote trigger to activate a second camera behind a goal. I've got a Hahnael which works fine but it lacks an on/off switch. I therefore have tried putting it on the hot shoe and pulling it off the contacts when I don't need it. I only want to shoot the second camera when there is action in that penalty area, no other time. Otherwise I'd finish up with hundreds of photos if the remote was on the contacts all the time.

Looked at the Yongnuo RF-602 but it doesn't have an on/off on the transmitter, just the receiver. Looked at the Pocket Wizard but they are pricey for what I want.

So .... it's the Phottix Stratos. :)
