Fall Goldfinch Arrivals

It was a treat to see two arrivals at my thistle feeder shortly after noon today here at the lake. Almost forgot what they looked like adorned in their elegant winter attire. They are about on schedule – a good sign for other songbirds that are usually not too far off in the follow, namely their thistle rivals: Pine Siskins. As a reminder, I was able to get a decent pose of one at the feeder.
