You're right!

Maybe for this one, too: Sony FDA-EVM1K Electronic Viewfinder

I haven't handled the camera. Why is there another viewfinder available separately?

Maybe DSLR movie makers need better viewfinder?

Why have a thread about Sony Mirrorless cameras on a Canon DSLR Forum? Trolling I guess.

No...I can mount my Canon lens to this great camera...that is why it is of interest to many. For you, since you have no interest in this camera...just go away.

POTN welcomes other brands. and it is stated that the new forum will have and support other brands.

and btw, this forum has other things that is not even related to dslr... so don't freak out when you see it ok? :)

Sony, knowingly or unknowingly is filling a void left in the Canon lineup and that's why people are excited. I'm not even a landscape photog and I'm excited by it :)

The buzz on the Nikon side is practically non-existent because they already have both of these sensors at their disposal on native glass.

If you wanna blame someone for all the Sony buzz around here, blame Canon....

Trolling? Not quite.... the reason it was created was because a lot of us "canon" users have other brand cameras as well, Fuji, Nikon, Sony, Olympus.... I've been part of this Forum for quite sometime and i can tell you that over the years POTN has evolved from not just a canon camera forum but a "Camera" forum, where people posts & ask for advice and even show off their work....

So trolling? No... Enjoying a "camera", yes....

This! +1.

I get tired sometimes from the fanboism, but more often than not I see work that inspires me, advice that makes me better and new horizons opened for my intellectual and artistic curiosity.

Here are a couple pics with the A7r/metabones and 135L. Raw converted to jpeg in lightroom with no PP.

The wife allowed me one shot --- I snuck three...:)

Why so many extra pins? It almost seems like you can attach another viewfinder.

It's for Sony's proprietory flash system; this should also work with a standard flash. Although I don't know if you would get full TTL with non-Sony / Minolta flashes.

I have the same shoe in my Nex 6, and it works great with old Minolta 3600HSD flash, full auto.

The external viewfinder he had in photo is an add-on accessory for the Nex cameras that are sold without one (Nex 5 series, and F3). Doesn't apply to A7.

is there a Sony/Canon hotshoe adapter/trigger that is compatible with Canon's wireless TTL system? that's only thing holding me back from getting the A7R.

Try asking on DPreview (Sony Alhpa / Nex forum) or on TalkEmount.com, I am sure there's quite a few people doing this.

regardless of the issue of this being a sony or canon, thanks to the OP for posting, as im thankful for stumbling across this read while looking for adapter talk for the nex 5r and canon lenses. im glad its not ALL about canon.
