"The" Fred Miranda on the Fred Miranda site is using the TS-E lenses on the a7R. Would be good to read his posts over there. He had to add flocking to the Metabones III to cut down on reflections.

And he had to go through a bunch of adapters to get one that was well-enough aligned to get sharp results shifted. Seems like a bit of a pain, but worth it if you need to use the TS-E with a 36MP sensor. But, the adapter is clearly a weak-link in the scenario, and is why I'm hoping Canon makes a high resolution camera soon.

the question is even (or when) canon supplies high MP camera can they match sony sensors on noise and dynamic range.
Will they finally remove the AA filter?
Will the fix the banding, shadow noise when lifting shadows, Canon has A LOT of work to do then just raising the MP.
They have fallen on every aspect of sensor tech.
Good fair questions, I too would guess that they will come up short, but if they can give me the megapixels I can work around the other shortcomings like I already do with my 5D III. When tripod-shooting I shoot at ISO 50 and use mulitple exposure cheats to gain all the DR I need, but when it comes to an architectural shot with the TS-E lenses I can't manufacture my own extra megapixels (can't do shifted panos because the shift is used to straighten the verticals), so I need Canon to make me a high resolution camera.
And if they make something like a 46MP (or so) sensor it will still easily outresolve a 36MP sensor AA filter or not, so I'm not worried about that. The banding? Yeah, Canon better fix that!
