I tried again the 70-200 on a tripod to see if I got side effect of shutter vibration. Those weren't at 1/100, granted, but with the weight under the camera mount it really seems to eliminate the vibration quite well. 11 frames stitched.

I'm thinking Zeiss 2.0/50mm Makro-Planar ZE maybe another portable / walk-around option for me...

Ok, I saw this beautiful young lady today, and ask mum to let me get a photo of her :)

Zeiss 1.4/35 @ f/1.4 with 580EX bounce. No way I'm going to use the Sony toy flash if I have the choice from today!
.

I've been meaning to make a comment on this, but I've been distracted by other things. Beautiful portrait; I love it. So cute! :)

BTW, I've let insanity rule the day: I got word this afternoon that the shop (I had previously pre-orded with) has the Otus 55mm f/1.4 ZE in stock, so I ordered one. Should have it next week. :D

Congratulation, David! Can't wait to see some beautiful photo from you!!

No Otus for me this year. We need to pick up a 300mm for polar bear before June; so next year should do.
