Ok, someone may like the in-camera JPEG; anyway I show both here (from Zeiss 1.4/35):

At this size on the phone, the LR5 edit looks pretty decent. beats the pants off the ooc jpg (to be expected when you start heavily massaging the image)

^ The in-camera JPEG almost like B+W shoot already; I prefect the RAW for recovering all lost detail.

1st one for today / last one for tonight (now is 1am Melb time):
Zeiss 1.4/35:

Congrats David. You may have to start an Otis thread at the lens sample archives.

One of my patio using my Sigma 35 f1.4 @f2. Auto magnify focus assist when focus ring turned.

Thanks! I also posted in the lens sample archives and included a shot of Chester taken with the Otus on the 5D III. The lens is stunning in every way: It already out-resolves the 5D III's sensor at f/1.4, and there isn't a trace of CA or veiling haze. And the bokeh is even better than I anticipated - creamier than is typical with Zeiss ZE lenses. I can't wait to get out and take some meaningful shots with it, but the timing is terrible; I have big project and soon-coming deadline at work (and it's bleakville in the winter here in KC). https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1346573

You have a cool patio and the lawn of my dreams (gravel). :)

By the way, I use the x-rite color checker passport to make a Lightroom color profile for my a7 today and I am very pleased with the color rendition of the a7 now. I had had some concerns about certain colors (some of my skies were looking very cyan), but the color profile fixes that to my satisfaction.

When I retired, I wanted the most maintenance free place I could find. :D

Super shot of Chester using your 5D3. I'm sure the lens will perform beautifully on the Sony too.
