Outstanding! I just knew it had to be a gem from all the images I've seen from it.

The CA mentioned is very minimal and is easily removed in post. The OTUS is more corrected and that's great too!:) Although it's nice to have a lens that can AF and is certainly a bargain compared to other lenses in the 50mm range. :)

The Hemet Stock Farm has long been considered one of the most historical sites in Hemet. Built in 1909, the facility was once home to world champion trotting horse Wilbur Lou, and its grandstands and track were used as part of the 2003 movie "Seabiscuit."

Sadly, the farm is in serious decline from its heyday.

Been away from the forum for quite a white, but the A7r came out. With my release bought 5D2 deteriorating, it has me craving for this camera and the ability to continue to use my EF lenses, and maybe invest in some nice MF glass.

You guys have not made it any easier.

the dimensional nature and rendering is awesome. the wide aspect sure pushes depth of field. it looks like a large format shot. beautiful.

Thanks David. I could have opened the shadows even more but I thought that would move the image toward the realm of the unnatural.

I know this is a pretty bland image but I think it shows how bleak and barren the farm has become.

This is looking down the long, tree lined driveway beyond the gate. I have to say that when I view this image on my 27" monitor, it makes me feel as though I'm actually standing at that spot taking in the scene in person.
