I must be one of the very few that didn't fall in love with LR or Silver Efexs. Both LR and Silver Efexs software came with my camera and I never use either.

I prefer Photoshop CS6.

Heres a couple of mine that I though turned out decent.
Leica M Monochrom 35 Summilux FLE CS4 and CS6.

Does BW film count??? :) I have to wait and see what people can do with their photos without using some per-programmed BW plugins.....

No one else has any B&W work that wasn't processed in silver efex?

Heheheheh.....:) What? We have to cook our own BW photos without any specialized software? You know I shoot BW film and I can post any shots any time......

Epic. While I generally love your work, this is just fantastic.

I don't use any plug ins, but I generally don't shoot B&W either.

I do occasionally do a B&W, just to see if I can pull it off.

My favorite 4 shots from yesterday. BW film. Ilford FP4+ 125. Xtol at 12m30s. Scanned with using Canon 9000f.

This shot has certain damp, wet, moody feel to it.

i used PSE10 to make BW conversions. is this why they look like converted color images vs. good clear Pan-X photos?

They need some more pop in my opinion but I think if you want your work to look lie film shoot film.

Keep'm come'n guys and gals. Cool stuff.

I get the look I want from CS6. I have never been a fan of LR or silver efex. Just me. I prefer the control I get with CS6. It is much more like the darkroom experience for me.

was this directed to me? what exactly do i need for "more pop"?

in looking at them again, im pretty sure i used the PSE "convert to bw" function. there are 5-6 presets (IR, newspaper, etc) for contrast and 'filter use' i.e. red, orange, yellow...
