So, I just upgraded my 50D to the slightly dated, but proven 7D with a new Canon battery grip. I bought everything brand new from Adorama. After messing with the camera for a bit, I set the camera down and grabbed something to eat. As I was bringing the food to my mouth, I noticed my fingers had the unmistakable scent of marijuana. Now, I have never smoked anything in my life, but I know the scent well and I hate it. Before I told my wife about the problem, I had her wash her hands, then smell her fingers. They smelled like soap. Then she held my camera for 30 seconds and she smelled her fingers again. Her eyes lit up and she said, "Marijuana?!"

Has anybody else had this experience before? Is it in the materials they use? Were there stoned-off-their-a** factory workers in Japan putting my camera together?

Yes, it could've been much worse. I could've received laminate flooring instead of my camera. :P Thank you for your concern and you have an e-mail. :)
