Which One's Pink is a Pink Floyd cover band. Since I'm not familiar with Pink Floyd I can't tell you how good they were.

There was so much smoke that many color images just didn't work which is why so many B&W.

Nice shots Dwight, I can't believe your not familiar with Pink Floyd I thought they would be from your era. The black & whites look good. I've recently shot some event type pics that have been pretty much ruined by strong colour casts from the lighting, and I think I have been able to save these by converting them to B&W.
Cheers Stuart.

Stuart, I'm not a big music person and this kind of music is what I prefer ... I like classical, jazz and bluegrass.

Pink Floyd are a British band from the 60s to early 80s. Had numerous hits, I would say it's one of those "marmite" bands around, you either love them or hate them. Not too partial to their music, only one stands out for me. I don't like photographing cover bands, as I find them cheesy to say the least, though not knocking the efforts of cover bands

Though good quality of the photos

Thanks ... I think. As for cover bands, of course we'd all love to photograph original bands that were great enough to motivate cover bands. But lots and lots of the originals are dead, so that would be hard. :-) As for me, I get paid just as much to photograph this band as I do KISS or STYX or Johnny Mathis, which is a goodly amount.

Yeah, well, if you're getting paid for it, go for it. Obviously I can't tell you what to do, its your job

It never occurred to me that you were telling me what to do! :-) And I was just agreeing with you anyway ... most cover bands don't do justice. But some, like Creedence Clearwater Revisited, are as good as the original. And as I say, I get paid well.

I'd take this as a good opportunity to have a listen to some Pink Floyd, branch out a bit!

I love shooting a band I don't know then having a listen to their stuff while editing :)
