WHOOO HOOO another canon killer

My sentiments exactly I am now longer brand loyal when it comes to lenses (you thank Sigma for stepping up their game) and now thanks to companies like Godox/Cheetahstand/Yongnuo etc, I am no longer brand loyal in the speedlight/triggering world

What's it going to take to make you no longer brand loyal to Canon bodies? :)

Hey Ray, to answer your question yes you can control the V 860Cs power with an AC3 it will work in A and M mode.

I purchased mine from CheetahStand

As for your 600EX, if you only have 1 unit then I would strongly consider it. But be advised if you need an on-camera flash I would consider keeping my 600EX, there is a slight weight difference. I am keeping my 580 EXII just for that reason alone.

The only drawback thusfar is that the zoom head is a little louder than the 580s so if you are in a quiet environment your best bet would be to manually select a zoom position and stick with it. Other than that I am strongly considering purchasing a couple more.

Great Comment Druss,

Glad that works, I just placed an order for one , at $189 why not, I paid full price for my 600ex-rt and I rarely use it for my shooting style. I mainy shoot with my einsteins on location or studio.

Weight difference, I believe you mean it's heavier than the canon flash.

I really like the pricing of this flash.

thanks for your input!

I would if the rumors were true that Sony may be making the sensor for it, and also if the price point is right.

Hi my name is Scott and I am a Cheetah-holic

J/K I love Edward as well. Just something special about a guy who will call to make sure everything went well and you are happy.
I waited a what seemed like an eternity to get a Cheetah V850 instead of the neewer or godox brands because others here had told me it would be worth the wait.
I believe they were right , and now here I am waiting again after an ebay sale to get the V860 from cheetah instead of the godox or neewer. I wont ever spend the paypal from the sale until the new owner is past the return window. In case i have to give a refund.

Scoob, Cheetah-holic in waiting :)

i'm from europe and i can't afford ordering from usa because of taxes etc., does cheetahstand have an european warehouse or something?

Ok mine is definitely working in manual mode with PW's and AC3 with full control. :) Someone with better knowledge of pw's should do a full review of this flash.

That idea has been wandering around rumourland, in various forms, for about 5 years now. I wouldn't hold your breath!

I ordered two FT-16 kits from Amazon (via New Harbor) this week and I just received the shipping info. Based on the nebulous delivery window, it appears they are shipping from China. Do you know how long it typically takes?

I live on the west coast, near Seattle (if that matters).

It takes about 1 to 2 weeks on the average.

Sorry, just being pessimistic based on my experience with them. Didn't mean to rain on your parade. If your order was fulfilled by Amazon, then no worries. If not, maybe don't expect them any time soon.

I just got the same E-mail from New harbor. It went to shipping about 2 weeks ago and I got there famous E-mail.

"I am so sorry for the inconvenience.
Unfortunately, your package was damaged by USPS during transit and was returned to our warehouse. The item in the package suffered some slight weather damage and is unable to be reshipped. We do not have a replacement of the same kind readily available, so I have to refund you for this purchase. I'm sorry for the trouble with this. Please accept my sincere apologies for this situation, and let me know if there is anything else I can do to assist you. I'll be looking forward to your response.

Thanks
New Harbor"

Got my refund also. Any 1 know if this place is any good?
Global_omo on Amazon

They have it to, but never seen any info on them.

I received dreaded news tonight in an email from New Harbor that my order had been damaged in shipping and they have none in stock for replacement. I understand things like this happen but when you wait weeks for a delivery only to be let down it does not bring a smile to ones face.

Here is what the email read:

Hello,

Thanks for your order. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, your package was damaged by USPS during transit and was returned to our warehouse. The item in the package suffered some slight weather damage and is unable to be reshipped. We do not have a replacement of the same kind readily available, so we have to refund you for this purchase. We’re sorry for the trouble with this. Please accept our sincere apologies for this situation, and let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you. We’ll be looking forward to your response.
Sincerely sorry!
Have a nice day!

Thanks
New Harbor

New Harbor did the same to me with an ft-16s transmitter and receiver set weeks back. I think they do this when they're OOS and can't fulfill the order because I've heard of other instances of them doing the same.

They did the same thing to me on the softbox and flash bracket. TWICE! I don't understand why they advertise as having products in stock, saying they shipped them then a week or more later lying to their customers. The first time I almost bought it and they said they didn't have any more to replace it so a few days later I saw it still said they had them in stock so I ordered again. Same exact lie the second time.

I don't think I can bring myself to ever do business with them again. Ordered the same kit from China and if I had not wasted those weeks with new harbor I would have it by now.

toolman21 wrote in post #16823704 (external link)
Said In stock when I ordered, they marked it shipped within an hour of ordering it but had a ship date of 3-4 weeks. Since it was marked shipped I couldn't cancel and order from somewhere else either. My order got canceled as well after several weeks of waiting. Oh well I will just not order from them anymore.

flowrider wrote in post #16822946 (external link)
New Harbour is where I ordered my box and never received it. They said it was lost in shipping and couldn't send another because they were out of stock despite it saying "In Stock" on Amazon. I pointed this out to them and they said it was an error but I've checked regularly it's always "In Stock" despite not being when I email them. I left negative feedback on Amazon and they emailed 3 times to try and get me to take it off. I refused saying that it's accurate.

Stay clear of New Harbor. I just bought the FT-16 receivers from Global_omo and received them in a timely manner.
