mods video part 3 (modeling light):

EDIT: almost done. just need painting.

changed my mind again, and put everything inside the flash, without using the battery compartment. it now uses the main external and/or internal battery (light last around 35 hours with external, 10 with internal)

EDIT 2: painted and lacquered:

it's fixed with velcro on the back. just pull and disconnect the plug to remove

EDIT 3:
circuit:

EDIT 4:
another event, 900 photos, used around 30% of the external battery capacity. original internal battery would be almost empty at this point (1750mah used, original battery has 1800mah)

only today i truly finished the focus assist/modeling light. used a "dome" to protect the led's and glued directly on the flash so its non-removable now (still fits nicely in the pouch)

used a aluminum "base" to dissipate a bit of the heat and to better fix the led on the flash.

on side note, also made a fixed manual focus assist on the camera with the laser from the V850, now the camera have a FA without flash.

now i can buy more two V850 and sell my canon 580EXii ;)
