For those who cannot or will not justify spending $12K on a big white 600mm L lens. Paul

For those who cannot or will not justify spending $12K on a big white 600mm L lens. This is an excellent opportunity for many "common" folks to experience what appears to be a sharp, LONG lens. You simply need good light. That seems to be a fair trade for a $10.5K savings. I am also looking forward on this Paul. Peter

Got a link to the $1350 price here? I was just going off of your link, rick. It seems it's been updated. It does say "around" $1350 in the US, so it seems that it isn't confirmed to be the official price in the US just yet. - Jason -

They're either pricing it so cheap, as it doesn't live up to the standards they (and we) expected.. or they're trying to compete with Sigma's 150-500 OS..which would still mean.. disappointment. Kel

"Today Tamron announced the price and availability of their new SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD (model A011) lens. The price in Japan will be ¥140,000 (around $1,350). The Canon version will start shipping on December 19th, the Nikon version will follow at a later date. Few pictures of the lens can be found here. Update #2: the US price will be $1069" Yep, you're right.. was just going to correct myself, I thought the parentheses contained the updated price. - Jason -
