Nice. We'd like to hear what they say about it. Me personally I will not even try to do push pull my Tamzooka even if Tamron will get back to you and might say it is ok to do it. i just don't think it is design unless they say so or written somewhere.

Andre do you have one pre ordered? Or do you have one already?

no, i think i'm opting to go for the sigma 120-300OS instead of the tamron...it'll be a lot more money, but the f2.8 will be good for when i use it for sports

I see. That is one of my choices too or the 300mm f2.8 in a future. My kids are not yet active in sports. Ages 6 and 8 now they are just doing swimming and piano once they get more active in sports I will get either the 120-300mm or the EF300mm f2.8.

I have the 120-300 2.8. Not quite as sharp as 300 2.8, but better priced, quite sharp, but heavier.....always trade-offs....

MMmmm...

The Sigma 120-300 F2.8 OS APO ART is the lens I would absolutely love to have. I just can't justify $3k right now for it. I'd certainly take it for half the cost of the Canon 300 F2.8 though. For sure.

Very best,

I lust for that Sigma 120-300 as well. It is out of my reach for the time being though.

Finally able to test my tamzooka with the new firmware yesterday. I am glad to say that I am much happier and very very satisfied, definitely fixed issues with my 7D I am having before.

How long was your lens gone Peter?

The focus pump is just a minor annoyance for me, but at some point I'd like to send it in and get it taken care of.

does anyone know if the newest batch of lenses will have the firmware fix? Receiving shipment in a few days, and dont have a problematic body to test.

I sent it June 16, they received it on June 19 and got it back June 27. So about 12 days.

Thanks. Sounds like I'll have to wait a couple of months to send mine, hopefully will be using it weekly for the rest of the summer.

Received mine yesterday, Typically the the sun vanishes.
This is some beast, I can see myself having a lot of fun with it.

This was taken last night as a test very cloudy F8 1/100 iso800 and handheld at 600mm.

It may just be heat distortion I am fighting/seeing sometimes, but has anyone noticed image quality degrading when shooting on hotter/sunny days?

My lens was quite hot today after being out there for 2-3 hours. I'm not sure if that will affect it or not. But I was not getting results I normally do, shooting close or further off subjects. Often the images looked outta focus or just soft, at F/7.1 of F/8 even. Normally this isn't an issue.

Well that would suck. It's been 105-110 here all week.
