Here's a team composite for the girls volleyball team.

I kind of like it, but the CB is way off. For instance, the girl at the left is gray compared to the girl next to her?

And FWIW, I like action, & try to highlight the graduating seniors every year, so here's an example from 2010: http://img.photobucket.com …set-Invitational_2010.jpg (external link)

Yep - I agree. Four girls were shot in a different location. My skills at matching color were not up to the task. The best I could do was to get the jerseys "close" for those four.

Other than the CB issue mentioned, I like it. This is middle school, therefore no graduating girls to highlight. Nice work.

Do you know about Adjustment Layers?
Levels/Curves affect the whole image. OTOH, Adjustment Layers which have a mask built in can be modified to only affect that part of the image that you think needs it. And they're reversible in case you need to tweak them later for a print.
Look at A question about sky and click on the Airport runway shoot link in my post to read more about them.

I like it a lot. One additional comment - perhaps try the "Eagles" word a little smaller. It tends to grab your attention in comparison to the girls part of the poster.

+ 1 on the Eagles as it become the focus of the poster not the team. I would opt for smaller as well as less opaque to see the players more. Overall, nice!

That one is hard on my eyes. Just too much going on without any separation/border between the photos.

The parents and the players will always remember their "6th Grade Volleyball Poster 2013." Well done. I was going to mention this the day that you posted this graphic, but PhotoGeek & C.david addressed the issue. I agree with both of them; IMHO, the players should be the focus of your poster. The "EAGLES 2013 6th Grade Girls VOLLEYBALL" is absolutely the 1st thing that draws one's attention. It keeps popping out at the viewer, so make your adjustments appropriately. Just another thought, and you might have to play with this a bit, if you're willing to do the work......what if besides making the players more visible (bigger in size), you would superimpose (overlay) some of them, in part, on the "St. Francis de Sales Catholic School" label. Several magazines do this, because the viewer/reader knows the name, whether it would be "Sports Illustrated", "Cosmopolitan", etc. Just a thought (maybe even for future projects). :) Keep up your wonderful pursuits!

The bigger it's printed, the better it looks! ; )

I like it and like the effect on the background. Is that the actual gym they play in or is it an image used as the background? How did you get the hdr look? Nice work!

That's the actual gym. I shot it before a game.

As for the HDR look, I brought the contrast +25, highlights to +30, shadows +50, Whites +50, Clarity +100, and vibrance -50 to get a desaturated "fake" hdr quality.
