Please help 600EX-RT

I run a 7D and recently bought a 600EX-RT. My problem is in the settings im sure but for the life of me I can not figure it out. The 600 powers up and talks to the 7D as it seems it should but it will only fire when I put the camera in auto mode(green box). I have a shoot tonight and would like to use my new toy. Has anyone else run into this issue? Thanks in advance!

Ensure that flash firing is enabled. First menu (creative modes), <Flash control>, <Flash firing>, Enable.

The 600ex has a bit of a learning curve. I would recommend learning and messing with your new flash for a while before bringing it on a paid gig.

However, it's not rocket science- just throw one of them into slave mode and one into master mode, make sure they're on the same channel and both on "radio trigger" instead of optical... and fire away

Are we talking on camera here, or remote triggering?

On camera. I actually got it to work. Somehow flash fire was disabled on the camera?? Thanks for replying.

Haha, "somehow" you disabled it!

No. I literally took off my 480 and put the 600 on and it no longer would work with either flash. Oh well. It works now. Thanks.
