8 New Canon Lenses in 2014!

BS list or not, I still like the sound of a Canon 14-24 2.8.

Actually I hope it's silent. I hate hearing the focus.

Yup, looks like a BS list. For instance, why replace the relatively new 200 2.0 IS before coming out with an IS version of the 135L? Is world really clamoring for an update to the 400mm DO lens? And why in the world would Canon come out with an update to the 400 5.6 without IS? Not to mention all of those overlapping normal zoom lenses.

Thing is if they release a 200 f2 mkII and 400 DO mkII they can charge 10K a lens instead of 5 or 6....

Too much lenses in this long list (for ultra-wides a 16-50mm f/4 IS and 14-24mm f/2.8 would please every ultra-wide-zoom buyer, if the IQ is here, so why adding a 17-40 V2 and a 16-35mm ??).

14-24L please! don't care other lenses

EF-S 15-70 f/4 IS should be on there, but I think Canon is done with EF-S.

Because one is the cheapest and one of the best selling L lens, and other is nearly 2x the price.

Ie targeting two different markets.

As for the 16-35 and 14-24, same thing again, two different markets, most landscape photographers would grab the first, and events/photojournalist​/wedding photographers the 2nd.

Yes I know. But the so called "year of the lens" has started, and if there's really 5 - 8 new L-lenses coming, we should have some at least one solid leak and some bits of information by now.

But it is all quiet. No lenses in sight.

Lost.. All hope is lost...

According to image resourcing, Canon is going to add IS to its 85mm, 100mm and 135mm lenses! http://www.imaging-resource.com …-85mm-f-1.8-100mm-f-2-and

At first I was excited at the potential of an 85 1.2 IS.... but then it said 85 1.8/ Oh well.
I think the ones on that lens which would pique my interest would be the 100-400, 14-24.
Since they announced an MT 14 ex version II - it would be interesting if they update they MT EX 24 or the MP E 65.
