I am doing a session for someone I know, but I am not 100% sure on poses. She is a single mom with 2 daughters (Not sure of age, but I know they are in 4th and 6th grade).

I have been looking through typical family poses, but do any of you have examples or suggestions for poses for this type of situation.

THANK YOU!

Mom sitting and the kids around her, all three walking holding hands, all three engaged in some type of activity like throwing leaves in the air (fall time),..

Just thinking of stuff off the top of my head, but you have the right idea. Look at family photos you find. It really isn't all that different shooting a mom and daughters compared to a family of 4. Find photos you like of families and then decide WHY you like those photos. What makes them stand out to you, and try to emulate that :)

Hate to say it, but check out Pinterest and just type "Poses for Families" in the search function. I have actually started using it to get some ideas and that has lead to a little more creativity on my own part.

LOL! No shame in checking out that site. Don't be surprised if you meet with people and they show you pictures from Pinterest saying they want something like "this" :)
