The late fall pulse of American Robins have begun to show up. There were easily over a thousand Robins visiting an old 20 foot diameter fountain for an early morning drink. These are just a couple of what I got. I will be posting more once I process the 2,000 images I took today.

It was quite fascinating comparing the plumage differences of all the birds.

I can't imagine seeing that many Robins in one location. Can't wait to see more, because these two shots are amazing. That second one looks like a money maker too me!

Great shots, I think you are looking at youngsters with the lighter colors.

Thanks you guys, it was a really fun shoot.

@2n10
The middle two birds are this year's hatch, while the outer two are both males.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

LOL. I hope you're joking! :lol:

Seriously though, bathing birds are always such a pleasure to watch. They seem to genuinely enjoy a good bath. These shots are great.

Thanks everyone! I have been really busy with school so I haven't had a chance to finish editing all of the images.

I wish I was joking! With over a thousand robins it was pretty much non-stop shooting and buffer filling for about 30 minutes. At that point I had to get to class, so I stopped.:)
