Some input Please

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I am done with the design phase of my camera bags and I am now starting to create samples and the same I have started working on the logo for the brand. The logo has Arabic calligraphy, do you guys think that by having arabic calligraphy I may end up alienating customers?

I dont think it would alienate people simply because its arabic. But you want to make sure that your graphics are readable and well presented. I suppose you might find some individuals that can get hung up on any issue, but I rather doubt its widespread.

Logos are extremely important! Make sure it represents the message or emotion that you hope to portray with your product. Otherwise, a logo can be meaningless.

Hmm, if you are planning to market them globally, maybe find a way to present the Arabic "creatively" (as art) but then also get at least a decent English rendering of your "brand name". Otherwise...imagine someone seeing one of your bags while out and about and then wondering how to get one for themselves...most of us would be totally lost "googling" something in Arabic!

Good points being raised about potential customers not knowing the name of the brand or knowing what to search for on google.

Better make it something simple and easily recognisable/read.

I agree with this. I know it sounds terribly Anglocentric, but the Roman alphabet is going to be a little more useful if you're marketing on a global scale.
