I used to have one.
I then "upgraded" it to the new IS USM version.

The difference is superb.
Well worth the upgrade if you like shooting at 28mm.

I think you're right in that there is no sample picture thread for this lens (and I'd love to see more from it!), however, this isn't the sample photo section of the forum...
