Liza,
Thanks for the comments. I love going to this show. It's held in May/June at the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati. It's always crowded and they give sugar water out to the kids so the butterflies will land on them. It's a great time. There's a couple nights each week where they allow 2 hours for photographers only. You can enter a contest and I believe first place is $500 (I could be wrong about the prize). I entered last year, but never made it back to see the winners. I wasn't contacted so I know it wasn't me. Hope you can make it this year.

I thought I responded to this earlier, but I don't see it anywhere. Sorry about that. The show is the International Butterfly Show. They hold it every year at the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati. It's very crowded, but they have a couple days (2 hours each day) that's for photographers only. They hold a photo competition and I believe the first place prize is $500. It's usually held in the May/June time frame. You can look up Krohn Conservatory on the net and they will have the details when the time draws nearer.

Hope you get to make it to the show this year. Good Luck.

Thanks for the info. I sure hope I'm able to attend. And, by the way, your photo of that Blue Morpho is out of this world. They are one of the most difficult butterflies to photograph.

These are beautiful, with great lighting being the key factor. I had the pleasure of visiting the Cincinnati Butterfly house some years ago, it's a great place.
