I picked up a mint 135L with a Canon leather hard carrying case (free) a couple weeks back. I jumped on the BH photo deal for the 70-200 2.8L II which will be here Monday.

I currently have: 17-40L (Landscapes/Lightning), 50L (walk around/portraits) and the 135L (portraits/walk around). The 70-200 will be great for sports stuff/portraits/etc and I worry that I'll probably never use the 135L. Any thoughts? I know it's money and the images are gorgeous, but I think the 70-200 will be very close if not better with better flexibility in focal range.

Just do this. Make a point of using it for a while, especially if you do portraits before you decide to sell it. Its a fantastic lens that grows on you with use. All of the logical arguments against keeping it are valid, but I can tell you that many users in the 135L thread sold theirs to get the 70-200, then came back to it.

Spend a few months with the 70-200 2.8 and you will probably miss the light compact 135. If you don't mind the bulk than sell it but I would keep both for a while first.

I have both for awhile now. I was thinking to sell my 135L too. But everytime I use it and see the quakity of the photo. Its always say NO. So keep it for a while and then decide.
