I am trying an adapter that lets me use a 9 year old Sigma 12-24 (in Konica Minolta / Sony A-mount) on my Nex, with full AF.

This is the first UWA I ever had, and I am finding out just how tricky it is to use, especially in dim light.

These shots are from the local nature preserve, that has a replica of a typical late XIX - early XX century log cabin, with some authentic (and not so authentic) items.

How did it turn out ?

a bit to hdr ish for me on the first one and the light has excess noise.. the last one could use a bit more rule of thirds.... but overall the colors are nice and the exposures are good as well.. good job

Well, I wasn't trying for it to be HDR like, but I see that it may seem this way.

This lens has wonderful golden rendering of yellow, I am always tempted to push it just a bit more in post to get that "Golden summer" look.

ahh k that makes sense.. if that upper beam that runs the length of the house above the door wasnt quite so vivid it wouldnt look hdrish maybe burn that beam a bit and that may do the trick

I agree, the first one is reaching on the HDR side, but together with the other photos I feel like it looks less like that. I like them together. Super wide lenses always have a nice other-worldly feel. I think they are pretty good.

Thanks. Yes, I was never interested in the UWA, but now that I got my hands on one (by accident) I wish I had it earlier ! It does offer a unique perspective.
