5D3 file delete over 2 cards

when i review a pic on the rear screen and select delete it only deletes the raw file and leaves the jpg file intact - i have the camera write raw files to the cf and jpg to the SD card.
is there a setting to make it delete all instances of the pic or do i have to find another way of getting rid of unwanted jpg 's

I would love to know the answer to this if there is one. It has always annoyed me.

I don't have a 5D3 but it seems to me like you could test it in less time than it took to post this message....

I did, it didn't, hence the question

It will only delete files on the card you've selected to view. The 1DX does the same.

I never shoot jpeg, but if I did, this would seem like a plus. What if you wanted to keep only the raw, or only the jpeg?

There is no way, if you are writing to 2 cards simultaneously. The camera will delete from whichever card is set up as the playback card.

I personally never use the 'delete' function, if I know it's a bad shot I'll get rid of it when on the PC - Less chance of deleting the wrong one, or the whole lot whilst fumbling around in a field or at an event!

I use both cards on my 5DIII - raw to the CF and large/fine jpg to the SD card. I do this for 'insurance' and also sometimes people want a quick look at a shoot and the jpegs are quick and easy to use for a slideshow.

After downloading and backng up I then format both cards in the camera.
