It's been a while since I posted on here so I figured I'd throw up a shot from yesterday evening. I like the way this turned out but I'm always open to other people's view. I wanted a simple pose to go with the simple surroundings so I told them to stand there naturally, hold hands, and smile.

I like it. A little tighter crop would have been better I think, but that is personal preference. Only little nitpick is that his shirt fades a little into the sun. A different color (darker) I think would have really made him pop. Otherwise I would be happy with that shot myself.

I agree. Definitely a shot I would be happy with. A tighter crop, or at least a crop that has them not quite to dead center would be nice. I would crop a bit more of the foreground.

Thanks guys! I was going back and forth about the crop but finally decided to "break the rules" and center them since I had almost every other shot from the set composed with them off center. This was the last shot we took before wrapping it up. :-)

I think I would have filled the frame with them more and would have moved them to the left so the sun was not directly behind them. In fact I think I would have talked the sun out of the picture all together and just used the color of the sky. Very nice image

Sometimes its nice to make a bold move (if you have other shots to include) and crop them at the waist so the focal point is them holding hands. Just a thought.
