As a lover of 1 series bodies, I'd have to say 5D3. I asked the same a while back and the consensus was the 5.

All depends what you want to shoot obviously, but high iso, fps, screen, resolution, AF all go to the 5.
Low iso I'm sure there wouldn't be much if anything in it.

I was all set on replacing my 1DS2 with a 1DS3, not so sure now (for what I shoot).

Even though mine failed very early in my possession for unknown reason(s), i always recommend buying into the latest technology that you can afford. So i say 5D3 from your choices.

The 5D3 outperforms the 1Ds at every place you can test it against except build. 5D3 blows the 1Ds away in noise performance above 2000 ISO. AF system on 5D3 is noticeably better, Servo works, with only a few advantages of customizing to the 1Ds AF system some particular needs

Who would of thought Canon would have done this. Not me. 5D3 put the 1Ds on the obsolete shelf.....though a 1Ds is probably one of the best studio camera developed for a number of years,,,,5D3 is better

Between the two definitely i will choose 5D3, but i have 1Ds3 and 1DX, i go with 1Ds3 only for higher mp for landscapes and nightshots or everything except sports and situations where i must use high ISO, so 5D3 has high mp and better high ISO so i can use it for everything, only sports i prefer 1DX over 5D3, if you said 5D2 then i will say 1Ds3 all the way for me.

If Canon made 1DX with 20-24mp it will be a perfect and better choice than 5D3 itself, now comparing 5D3 and 1DX for IQ only then the only winner with 5D3 as i can say is with higher mp, anything else 1DX is the king.
