I don't have enough posts to post to the G&N section so I hope mods don't mind me posting these here.

Anywho this is my friend Joel preparing for a local bodybuilding show. He is still a few weeks out but he looks great already.

Very nice shots, but I have the feeling they could be enhanced with more dramatic lighting. The final image in black and white is more what I'm thinking of as dramatic in terms of the lighting.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

Real nice.

Thanks guys. :)

stsva my goal was show the muscle and the definition as close to real as possible that's why I posted the none dramatic edits, well except the last one.

How is this one?

Edited the startrek logo off of the dumbell. Same shot is below in post # 10.

Too much help beyond natural muscle building. I know, I know, to each his own, but the B&W illustrates effort from actual hard work w/o chems. I know, I lift every day, and dont look like either!

What's your lighting on these and how far to the side were they?

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Wusup scrum! :mrgreen:

Just a single speedlight 430, 1/2 power, bounced off a white umbrella. It was on a stand about six feet high and about six feet away from him.

:lol::lol::lol:

BTW, having the 25 on it, but toned down would be what I would do.
