This *is* Pekka's forum

I'd like to take time out to remind all forum members that we enjoy this place (virtual though it may be) thanks to the kindness of Pekka Saarinen. He can pull the plug on the whole thing at any time, even though I doubt he would even think of it. We are his guests, and a kind and amiable host he has always been. I hold him in the highest regard as a photographer, a host, a community member and a human being. I will be the first to extend to him the benefit of the doubt in any circumstance, and I am proud to call him a fellow photographer, web-nut and human.
Thank you Pekka for your generosity in allowing us all to play on your nickel.

I agree completely... very well said! I would just add that this forum has been an extremely valuable learning resource for me (as I am sure for many others) and I therefore extend my gratitude to Pekka for his efforts.

I concur. I've learned so much by browsing through here. Many many thanks to our selfless Finnish host. I've always thought Finns are pretty cool, and Pekka validates that opinion

I totaly agree. Pekka is kind enough to run an moderate this forum in his spare time.
I think a few poeple should consider this before some of their complaints about the forum and the tone of some posts.

Glad you posted this much needed thread Philip. I wholeheartedly agree.
As selfish as I can be I too need to be reminded from time to time that a little gratitude goes a long way.
The forum says "The word is free"!

I have bought many books, but what I have learned from this forum is more useful that any other source.
