Canon will do a one-up, the
EF 35mm f/1.2 L (weathersealed, with no field curvature and a floating element to avoid the "feature" of the 50L). Expect to pay two grand at release time.
^ which is precisely why the current 35L (which is a damn fine lens) will not drop significantly in price on the used market for quite a while. For example, the original 70-200/2.8IS held its value for a long time after the release of the mark 2 version because it was $1000 more. As the mark 2 has come down, the used price of the original has come down proportionately.
